February 3rd, 2009
AMBIT’s drama – based interactive training DVD for the Co-operative Group dealing with conflict resolution and theft prevention is nearing completion.
The programme presents some typical flashpoints such as underage sales and gives Co-operative Group staff the opportunity to select appropriate responses and hear expert feedback.
Says Steve Hogarth of the Co-operative Group, “The dramas are very realistic, which is vital for credibility and relevance. Staff will certainly recognise the situations and this training will give them the opportunity to consider new and productive approaches and ultimately reduce customer conflict in the stores.”

A promotional DVD recently completed by AMBIT provides a unique insight into the new Creative and Media Diploma. It conveys the excitement and enthusiasm of students currently taking the course and includes the views of parents, teachers and employers.
The seven minute programme aims to engage pupils considering their options in Year 9, help parents and employers understand the benefits and show the Diploma to be a very worthwhile qualification, leading to real, employable skills.
During a recent visit to Cheshire, the high energy production caught the attention of Jim Knight, Minister for Schools who remarked that he was “extremely impressed with the DVD”.
