Ambit Goes Tapeless
June 18th, 2009
In May 2009, AMBIT invested in a brand new Panasonic HPX 500E P2 broadcast camcorder and Fujinon Genius 2 lens.
The camcorder doesn’t use tape but instead visuals and sound are recorded onto memory cards. This improves the workflow, minimises waste and allows recordings to be made in a variety of formats, including full high definition. AMBIT has also upgraded its editing facilities to cater for HD.
Says Pete Simon, AMBIT joint MD, “With the new camera and lens we can offer our clients the best quality currently available and the improved workflow is very helpful when a fast turnaround is required.”
